NS Harsha - Star Gazers (2010)

In the Liverpool Biennial 2010 is NS Harsha's Star Gazers, exhibited on the top floor of the old Rapid building on Renshaw Street. For me this piece truly through physical interaction captures the theme of the Biennial 'touched'. A mirror forms the ceiling of the room with the 'sku gazers painted on the floor making things look smaller than normal and this evokes the idea that the audience is at one with the piece... in the piece. As you look at the piece you are incorporated into it. This particular piece seemed to captivate people, and we found ourselves after a while lying on the floor for a while and letting the piece sink in and digest.... I can safely say that of all the pieces in the building, I spent the most time with this one rather than simply passing by after a quick glance.
